Driver Terms of Service

1. Independent Contractor Status

You are an independent business owner. Nexus Rides does not direct or control your work. You choose when, where, and whether to accept or counter ride offers.

2. Driver Requirements (Washington State)

• Valid Washington driver’s license (Class appropriate for vehicle)
• Personal auto insurance meeting WA minimums + commercial coverage when online
• Vehicle registered, inspected, and under 15 years old
• Pass annual criminal & driving record checks

3. Fare Negotiation & Payment

• You may counter any rider offer — no minimum acceptance rate
• Payments processed weekly via Stripe (you keep 100% of agreed fare minus platform fee)
• No deactivation for low acceptance or selective trip choices

4. Termination

Either party may end this relationship at any time. We only permanently deactivate for serious safety violations or fraud.
